On May 21, 2011, Colonial Downs will host the 79th running of the Strawberry Hill Races. Lextech Labs, together with partner Verizon Wireless, will be providing a complete security solution to the facility to manage the expected crowd of 40,000. The solution includes rapidly deployable cameras operating over the Verizon Wireless cellular network, hard wired cameras and C3 allowing teams to view the video on their mobile devices. The solution will provide security operations management of attendees, crowd control, parking lot facility management, and traffic management. This is the first time that the facility has managed their security and traffic flow with this type of solution.
