System Requirements for C3 Playback Gateway:
Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008 Server. Java Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 6
Ideally, the C3 Playback Gateway should be installed on a machine that is on the same local area network as the Milestone server or on the Milestone server itself.
C3 Playback Installer
For 32 bit versions of Windows
For 64 bit versions of Windows
Unzip the appropriate installation package and install.

The last page of the installation will prompt you to load the Java Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 6 Unzip those into the directory where JRE is installed. Overwrite the existing “local_policy.jar” and “US_export_policy.jar” files. The path these files should be copied to is C:\Program Files\Lextech Labs\C3 Recording Gateway\jre(64)\lib\security – remove the (64) if you’re using a 32bit version of Windows.
Now that the Playback Gateway is installed, you need to configure the Gateway within your iRa C3 organization at https://irac3.com. Login as the administrator for your organization.
Click on “Gateways” then click “Add Gateway Server”
Enter in the name and IP address of the machine where your Gateway was installed. In my example I have the Gateway running on the same servers as a Milestone Corporate server. If I wanted to use this gateway with other instances of Milestone, I could enter in additional information for those servers in the extra fields below “Associated Milestone Servers”. The “Control Port” and “Video Socket Port” are two TCP ports you can specify on your own as long as they not in use on the server where the gateway is operating. Please be sure they are accessible via the local Window firewall as well as any external firewalls you may be operating.
The first field “Host Name/IP is the IP address of the Milestone server you wish to use with this playback gateway. The “Alias 1 Name/IP” could be an external DNS name. In the above example we are using a Milestone Corporate server which requires two ports, 80 and 7563. If you are using Milestone Enterprise or lower, you would put port 80 for only the “Video Port” leaving the “Auth Port” blank. Once you’ve entered in the appropriate data, click save at the bottom.
Now that the Gateway has been configured, click on the “Export” button to retrieve the custom configuration file for your gateway server. And save it to the location where you’ve installed the Gateway on the Windows machine.
Save configuration file to this location:
Now restart the C3 Recording Gateway service by going to the system “services”.
Find the “C3 Recording Gateway” server and right click on it to restart it.
Finally, verify that the service started properly by viewing the “Gateway.log” in C:\Program Files\Lextech Labs\C3 Recording Gateway\
Now you assign the Gateway to your cameras on irac3.com. Edit each of your devices (cameras) and select this new playback gateway from the menu. This only applies to cameras you have set to record on Milestone/Onssi
After you’ve made these adjustments, a new icon that looks like a movie camera will appear in the upper right corner when viewing playback enabled cameras in iRa C3 Mobile and iRa C3 Command

Touch it to access recorded video!
