Adding Milestone Enterprise Cameras to iRa Pro
An example network configuration with a Milestone XProtect Enterprise.
To add a camera to iRa from a Milestone Xprotect Enterprise system, follow the 11 steps below.
STEPS 1 – 2
1) Open the XProtect Smart Client for Milestone systems.(See image to the left)
2) Log in using your existing username and password.
STEPS 3 – 4
3) Once logged in, click on the “setup” tab.
4) Open up your “Cameras” folder and make note of the specific names of each camera you want to view in iRa. The name is critical, as it must be copied exactly into iRa for proper viewing.
STEPS 5 – 6
5) Once you’ve decided which cameras you want to view in iRa, open iRa and touch the gear icon to go to the settings.
6) Touch the group you want to add the cameras to.
STEPS 7 – 9
7) Touch “add new camera…”
Touch “Milestone – Motion JPEG”
9) Copy the camera name.
Please note: The name of the camera under “Server options” should be copied exactly as it is from the Milestone client. The camera names with brackets and spaces must be exact. The label for the camera in iRa can be whatever you choose.
STEPS 10 – 11
10) Enter in the appropriate host and port information. The username and password is the same that you would use to login into your Milestone client.
11) Touch “save” when finished and exit out of the iRa settings. You will see your newly added cameras!
