Tips for Using iRa Pro/Direct Effectively

'Garage' group button

Create multiple camera groups to allow quick video switching

The button at the top of the multi-video view window is a button that will jump you to the next group of cameras.  A group can contain as many cameras as you’d like (you can get to the next 6 cameras by dragging the multi-video view page off to the left). Groups are very useful when configured for different areas of a facility (for example, showing all the loading dock cameras in one group and the food court in another).

Using the drag and hold for a slow steady turn

Dragging your finger to the edge of the single video view window shows a circle that will continue moving the camera in the direction you just started if you slide your finger into it and hold steady.  To stop the movement, just lift up your finger.  The camera will continue to move at the same speed you started with so you can use this to do a slow pan around a space without continuing to flick your finger on the screen.

Take a picture for future reference

Camera in the upper right

When looking at a single video window you can quickly grab a picture of what you’re seeing by using the camera icon on the top of the status bar.  Tap the screen once to bring up the bar and then tap the camera. It will light up and then a copy of the image you see will be stored in the device’s photo album.
